About this course

The white horse environmental park was conceieved in 1967 by Col Malhotra around the 4 Trg Bn of 1 EME centre. In 1972 the layout was extended to 18 holes by Col Don Blewitt. The course was priviledged to host the then President of India, late Shri Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed on 04 sept 1975. Change over from browns to greens commenced in 1988 under the patronage of Brig Sreeramulu & was finished in 1990 by Brig D B singh alongwith large scale planting of trees.The course was renamed The Eagle environmental park and trg area & improved by Brig I S Kahal, VSM. Much needed approaches & landing areas came up under the patronage of Brig R Kochhar, SM,VSM & subsequently were completed by Brig YV Mohan, SM, VSM The long cherished dream of grassing all fairways & creating a full fledged course was taken up in 2008-09 under the patronage of Brig Bibhuti Bhushan, VSM and completed by July 2009. Twin cities can now boast of EEP&TA as one of the best golf courses.
